New Collaboration Features in fortControl – Release September 2025

Anyone working as a security officer knows the challenge all too well: risks, measures, or protection objects need to be shared with colleagues or even external partners. This often results in confusing email threads, countless Excel attachments, and lengthy coordination loops. Not only does this cost valuable time, but it also makes it difficult to maintain oversight and increases the risk of information getting lost.

With the September 2025 release, fortControl is taking collaboration to the next level. Thanks to the new sharing features, working together is now easier, more transparent, and more secure – directly within the system.

What’s new?

1. Broader scope of use

From now on, not only control analyses can be shared, but also measures, risks, threats, protection objects, findings, and requirements. This makes collaborative work on security-related content even more flexible and comprehensive.

2. Real-time collaboration

Up to five participants can work on shared content simultaneously. All inputs are visible live – you can immediately see who is filling in which section, even before the response is finally submitted. This avoids duplicate work and unnecessary queries.

3. Flexible field sharing

Not all information is relevant for every participant, nor should everything be editable by everyone. Fields can now be shared selectively – either all or only specific ones, and if needed, in read-only mode. This ensures full control at all times.

4. Clear cockpit overview

The new cockpit offers a structured view of all shared content. Open, completed, and archived items are clearly separated, so you always know what requires your attention.

5. Direct integration of results

Copy & paste is a thing of the past: results can now be transferred directly from the shared content into fortControl – without detours, without media breaks.

What does this mean in practice?

  • More collaboration: Work on content together in a structured way – internally and externally.
  • More transparency: All participants always see the current status.
  • Faster reviews: Parallel work speeds up review and approval processes significantly.
  • Less coordination effort: No more long email chains or confusing document versions

The result: collaboration becomes not only more efficient but also clearer – and, above all, more secure.
