The latest version of fortControl once again introduces numerous enhancements designed to support the efficient implementation and operation of an Information Security Management System (ISMS) or risk management framework.

Visualize, Configure, Optimize – The May Update for fortControl

Expanded Reporting Functionality:

The reporting module has been enhanced with additional chart types. Effective immediately, users can create XY scatter plots, hierarchical diagrams, and combination charts. Furthermore, control assessments can now be included in PDF reports as spider charts, enabling visually engaging and well-structured presentations of assessment results.

New Custom Field Types:

fortControl’s configurability has been significantly extended with the addition of new types of organization-specific fields. These allow for even more precise alignment with individual organizational requirements:

  • Checklists for the structured documentation of discrete process steps, e.g., within action items
  • Lists to simplify the creation of dynamic entries
  • Dropdown lists for assigning responsible persons directly from the personnel directory
  • Role selection lists to assign responsibilities based on defined roles
  • Multi-selection lists for both persons and roles, enabling the assignment of multiple responsibilities concurrently

These enhancements allow for a more granular and adaptable configuration of your management system.

Improvements in Sharing Control Assessments:

The process for sending and managing control assessments has been extended with the following features:

  • Option to resend assessment notification emails
  • Centralized finalization of previously distributed assessments
  • Embedding of client-specific logos directly within emails
  • Display of custom messages directly in the email body
  • Optional activation of a custom footer within email communications

Additional Enhancements and Import Options:

  • Organization-specific fields can now be imported via Excel or CSV files
  • The status field within action items can now also be configured as a custom field
  • Suppliers and products can be conveniently imported
  • Custom fields are now supported for objectives, scope definitions, and role/responsibility assignments
